Had the most amazing aroma therapy massage from Susan today. I started running again and my legs and back needed a LOT of work. Susan is really intuitive and knowledgeable. She is there on Wednesdays. I'm going to change my training schedule so that I can see her after my longer runs. Wish I could give her more stars.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at Royal Thai. I have a problem with my rotator cuff along with painfully knotty neck and back muscles, and my therapist worked magic on these issues in a 60 minute aromatherapy massage. The best way I can put this is that it felt like she really CARED. The premises are clean and well run, the staff is very professional, and my therapist clearly knows a ton about physiology. She also has a great laugh that made the painful parts feel less painful - she emanates healing and happiness. I am planning to visit regularly to resolve my shoulder and neck pain, along with regular physical therapy. Worth every penny, and also a good deal at $85 for a 60 minute aromatherapy massage!
After many years of getting different kinds of massages, I am now thoroughly converted to Thai Massage. I get massages as often as I can, due to running and bicycling long distances and getting sore from endurance training. Thai Massage is like Active Release therapy, but way more pleasant. I first went to Royal Thai massage because I bought a groupon. My partner and I both got a massage that was totally enjoyable. I've since been back and my last massage did not disappoint. My biggest worry is usually that a massage will not be strong enough or deep enough, but both times the pressure was great. Also, when I asked for extra attention on my legs, that is exactly what I got. I also appreciated being able to get an appointment as a walk-in and not have to wait weeks for a massage. The ambiance is nice here, the staff is really friendly, the lemon grass tea is tasty, and 4-hour parking over by Aquatic Park, if you can get it, means no parking worries.
